Kendrick Meek Meets Rubio's Challenge - Meek Will Accept 5 Debates Outright, Remaining 2 With Alternative Date (809 hits)

Miami Gardens, FL. - Kendrick Meek accepts Marco Rubio's challenge to five formal debates outright and will accept two on alternative dates. The debates will feature one Real Democrat and two lifelong conservatives with the credentials to prove it - and the campaign looks forward to additional debate opportunities.

"There is only one Real Democrat in this race and I look forward to debating my two conservative Republican opponents. I am the only candidate who has consistently supported a woman's right to choose, opposed offshore oil drilling before and after the BP oil spill, advocated for the repeal of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest 1% and for increased tax relief for the middle class and small businesses, and supported the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell. I have a track record of fighting for the middle class and my opponents do not. Those distinctions will be made clear during these debates," said Kendrick Meek.

During the primary season, Kendrick debated his opponent Jeff Greene four times in West Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando and Miami.

Kendrick will formally accept these debate invitations tomorrow outright with event hosts and will accept the remaining two on alternative dates. The campaign looks forward to reviewing additional invitations as they become available:
