Building Maintenance Lead Worker - 26686
The Building Maintenance Lead Worker is responsible for maintenance work which includes installation and repair of all locks, doors, frames, and associated hardware; and key control in order to maintain security of the campus. The Building Maintenance Lead Worker will assist the Supervisor with maintenance projects while providing direction to other workers.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Performing key shop duties and training in the repair of existing locks, cores, and key control to maintain facility security needs
Providing direction and training in the repair and installation of door frames, doors, and gate per manufacturer's specifications
Providing direction to other skilled craftsman and workers in the general maintenance and repairs of buildings
Reviewing blueprints and specifications for remodeling and new construction projects concerning doors, locks and related hardware
Following policies and procedures to ensure the completion of projects in a timely manner while maintaining a safe, secure and productive work environment
Qualifications & Requirements
Must meet the following qualifications listed below:
Experience working as locksmith, carpenter foreman, or carpenter preforming skilled work and service on security lock systems
Knowledge of the principles of lead work sufficient to plan, direct, monitor and review the work of groups of craftsmen, helpers, laborers and other maintenance personnel
Knowledge of the methods, practices, equipment and materials used in minor new construction, maintenance, repair or renovation of various types of state buildings and other structures
Ability to make simple sketches and computations sufficient to estimate and requisition materials for projects
Ability to maintain and record work records and hours
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
