DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
  • Provides project planning coordination for the Design team to ensure effective and efficient asset collection, schedule development, and ultimately, launch of product projects.
  • Provides translation and administrative support to Design team.
  • In close partnership with Design Project Manager, ensures effective coordination of all design projects
  • Coordinates with members of Nintendo Corporation Ltd (NCL) and Nintendo of America (NOA) to collect project information, specification, and asset availability to initiate artwork schedule and flow for software localization projects
  • Disseminates project information, flow, and schedule. Continually updates information and dates to tracking system to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Responsible for handling Contract Service information between NCL and NOA.
  • Assists monitoring project progress, updates and maintains project information, product launch release date status, and artwork schedule on Design’s tracking tool and informs appropriate team members.
  • Assists communication with NCL for art assets, design approval, and various projects
  • Supports launch projects and launch activities
  • Translates and interprets confidential written and verbal communications between Japanese to English and English to Japanese.
  • Provides administrative support to department managers and staff
  • Acts as a backup to the art assets lead
  • Coordinates and provides written summery of meetings
  • Maintains department files and assets
  • Order department supplies
  • Provides Japanese/English translation

Qualifications & Requirements
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of two years
    of increasingly responsible experience within a related field
  • Experience leading
    and/or managing cross-functional projects in highly confidential
    environment
  • Excellent business
    communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Basic familiarity with
    graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Excellent judgment and
    ability to interact with groups, including team members, peers, vendors,
    etc.
  • Experience negotiating
    between cross-functional teams 
  • Proficient in
    Microsoft Office suites
  • Undergraduate degrees in Business, Marketing or a
    related field or equivalent
  • Professional training
    in Translation/Interpretation or equivalent experience
  • Level 1 certification
    in Japanese Language Proficiency Test required, or
  • Level 1.5
    certification or higher English Language Proficiency Test required
  • Valid passport is
    required
