This is a full-time (32 hours per week), exempt position, on a 10 month contract (August 1- May 31), housed within The Bellarmine University Counseling Center, serving as a part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The position provides short-term mental health services including individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, triage assessment, case management, consultation, clinical supervision, and outreach psychoeducation/programming.
Successful job candidates much posses the following: competence in general clinical practice, including brief psychotherapy and crisis intervention; hold a master's degree in clinical social work or related mental health field; be licensed or license eligible to independently practice as mental health provider in the Commonwealth of Kentucky; have professional experience providing mental health services to college students and/or young adults; demonstrate commitment to social justice; have excellent communication skills, including public speaking
Preference for candidates with LCSW; expertise in behavioral wellness and/or working with student athletes; experience working with underrepresented and culturally diverse populations (e.g. students of color, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities); experience or interest in providing clinical supervision to counseling or social work trainees.
