The Senior Software Engineer in Test at Coupa must be able to create high quality, maintainable performing code for white box and black box automated test cases and the frameworks to execute and report them. The Test Engineer's knowledge of software design is focused on testability, robustness, and performance, and they should play a contributory or reviewer role in the creation of designs for production software. They need to have good experience in software processes and how to test software along with exceptionally strong programming skills.
Requirements
BS degree in Computer ScienceCore development experience (3+ years) as Software Engineer/SDETStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structuresStrong analytical and problem solving skillsDemonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly in languages like C#, Java, Python, Ruby etc.Understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle and processesExperience in writing test frameworks and automation tools is preferableTest and Behavior Driven Development (TDD and BDD), Selenium, Cucumber framework, Capybara, Appium, CalabashREST APIs and SOAP web services with JSON and XML payloadsBuild systems such as TeamCity, Jenkins, Maven, AntFull stack web development expertise (Javascript, CSS/Less, Sphinx, Redis, Rspec)
Responsibilities
Establish quality engineering, automation testing, and continuous integration practices with an emphasis on back-end APIs and systems integrationOwn the quality of complete module and ensure 100% regression automation along with development.Design robust automation test scripts at both Unit and integration level.Conduct code reviews to manage automation code qualityWork closely with product and development teams to clarify requirements and provide feedback on functional and technical designParticipate in sprint planning meetings and daily stand ups to stay on top of things and report progressTroubleshoot, diagnose and identify failing systems through the use of instrumentation and softwareStrong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open source technologiesWork with cross functional team to ship high quality releasesBe a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process and softwareStrong expertise in leveraging a wide variety of open source technologiesWork with cross functional team to ship high quality releasesBe a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process
