Assistant Professor of Clinical Department of Medicine Division of Medical Oncology The University of Miami, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is engaged in wide ranging expansion and development of clinical and research efforts in cancer. The faculty candidate for this position will care for inpatients and outpatients with Gatrointestinal cancers in the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and affiliated hospitals. The candidate will help lead clinical and research efforts in the Cancers Site Disease Groups, and provide leadership for multidisciplinary clinical and research efforts in Head/Neck SDG and Thyroid SDG. The individual for this position should have national recognition and experience in the development of clinical trials, including investigator initialed trials, and in the emerging area of personalized medicine. The individual will serve as an attending clinician in the Division of Medical Oncology, with a focus on the care and treatment of patients with GI cancers. This includes providing direct outpatient care, as well as inpatient care of patients, plus the duties related to the attending rounding responsibilities for the division (including inpatient units at UMHC, UHT, Lennar and/or JMH).
