Manager Field Inventory Strategy and Analytics

The Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies are hiring for a Manager, Field Inventory Strategy & Analytics to be located in one of the following locations: Raynham, Massachusetts; Bridgewater, New Jersey; Warsaw, Indiana; West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States.

The Manager, Field Inventory Strategy & Analytics is responsible for leading all field inventory S&OP activities across the supply chain network for the Depuy Synthes Joints platform within the U.S. market. The role will have responsibility for partnering with commercial and supply chain to develop inventory optimization insights that enable the execution of an efficient consignment strategy that meets both business needs and financial expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for monthly field inventory S&OP process and end-to-end supply chain management of field inventory.
  • Develop & deploy field inventory management optimization insights that enable delivery of Commercial business needs and financial expectations, encompassing implants and instruments for field consignment and loaners.
  • Ensure appropriate deployment of new assets and redeployment of low turning assets.
  • Own the critical metrics related to inventory management including turns, DOS, inventory $ value, and E&O expense to ensure they meet key return on investment criteria.
  • Identify inventory excess reduction opportunities and support reverse logistics capabilities within the US.
  • Develop and maintain expiry management capabilities for field inventories.
  • Design and drive the SLOB and E&O (Excess and Obsolete) strategy for DPS US Joints.
  • Ensure solid partnership and end-to-end alignment with key stakeholders: Commercial, Regional/Global Supply Chain, Finance and Deliver.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, in Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years total experience.
  • Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, SAP/JDE.
  • Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy, and a demonstrated capability for synthesizing data from multiple sources into concise and impactful summaries that facilitate decision-making are required.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills. The ability to use PowerPoint to develop and effectively deliver key presentations to senior management is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated influencing ability and excellent verbal and written communications is required.
  • Strong project management skills are required.
  • Proven competence in understanding multi-echelon inventory networks, building MEIO entitlement models, and developing inventory optimization strategies.
  • Experience working in Orthopedics medical device business or another comparable multi-channel consignment operating model.

Preferred:

  • Masters and MBA highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a complex Supply Chain environment.
  • Healthcare sector experience is desirable. Cross-sector and/or cross-functional experience is a plus.
  • Process Excellence and/or APICS certifications are an asset.
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) desirable.

This position can be located at any of the listed locations and may require domestic travel up to 10% as business demands.
