Community Engagement Liaison
This position will interface between UNM Hospital and the Black/African American Community in New Mexico. Prior Experience with coalition building within the B/AA community is essential.
Responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of programs to develop public awareness, knowledge, interest and understanding of Hospital services and programs. Cultivates outreach initiatives to develop, improve, and maintain effective relationships with community stakeholders. Represents the Hospital in interactions with the community and disseminates information on activities of public interest. Spearheads methods to identify, assess and measure needs that affect the overall health of communities served. Collaborates with staff, leadership, and works with teams to promote community engagement activities that support and align with the mission and strategic initiatives of the Hospital. Responsible for promotion of processes and policies that respond to the cultural, racial, and ethnic needs of the community we serve. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and department policies and procedures. No patient care assignment
Qualifications & Requirements Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline
Experience Requirements:
2 years directly related experience

Bilingual
