Sr Analyst Data DevOps

As part of the Supply Chain data strategy, the Sr. Analyst – Data DevOps will drive “build and support” workstreams across the CDL (Common Data Layer) platform, a repository that centralizes the Supply Chain Data, hosted on MS Azure. They will collaborate closely with BT and partners to deliver key data ingestion initiatives. These initiatives build on ingesting substantial amounts of business data from J&J`s ERP and Non-ERP systems into data platforms such as CDL and EDG (Enterprise Data Grid) for analytics and transactional processing. The successful candidate will work closely with our Supply Chain partners on multiple initiatives, including Data Ingestion service management, Application Development and Maintenance in a DevOps model of engagement. This role will operate cross functionally with various technical teams applying groundbreaking technologies to deliver business solutions. The Sr. Analyst – Data DevOps will support improving technical capabilities across the CDL platform (Databricks, Informatica, and Confluent Kafka) as well as improving processes and SDLC documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Be a trusted Technology Services (TS) partner, collaborate with IT Product Owners, Business Technology (BT) and other partners to deliver data ingestion needs to support implementation of digital solutions and analytics strategies across J&J globally
- Lead E2E planning, assessments, and financial estimation for new Data Ingestion projects
- Execute Data Ingestion in CDL for prioritized projects in line with project timelines and expectations
- Manage daily standup calls and partner with BA on backlog prioritization
- Drive new capabilities across the CDL platform specifically Databricks
- Responsible for owning the FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) process for Data Ingestion
- Continuously engage and collaborate with internal and external partners to improve CDL components and address related issues
- Explore and test new opportunities for innovation within CDL with regards to automation, observability, and more.
Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Experience and Skills: Required: - A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in IT space specializing in Data Engineering, Technology Architecture, or a related field is required
- Strong interpersonal and project management skills using Agile development methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, JIRA)
- Outstanding stakeholder management experience and collaboration with multi-functional colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in business analyses and requirements gathering
- Ability to produce detailed planning and execution
- Experience with Java, SQL, DBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and ETL tools
Preferred: - Master’s degree in a related field
- Ability to recognize and own the resolution of project issues and roadblocks
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Apache Spark, Amazon Web Services, Informatica, Databricks, and/or Kafka
- Experience with Scala, Python
