Product Specialist III

In this role, the specialist will be responsible for growing the sales and visibility of the Water Purification & Water Analysis portfolio by managing relationships with key customers, LER's and channel partners in their assigned region. It involves collaboration with Laboratory Products Division (LPD) commercial team and regional leadership, commercial product management, and business units in addition to other supporting functions to drive sales into the market. They will work with channel partners, corporate accounts, and key opinion leaders in the applied markets vertical segment. It will also include working closely with customers to nurture future projects and qualify new opportunities. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: - Achieve set annual targets for the WP & WAI product portfolio by developing and driving execution of product strategies
- Build demand using product and application expertise including seminars, workshops and be the point of reference as an Applied Markets product champion.
- Work closely with Regional Sales and Channel Teams to identify market and customer opportunities in order to increase market share and revenue growth.
- Manage relationships at key accounts and help support development of these accounts alongside LPD sales team.
- Provide product expertise in public tenders, sophisticated quotations and demonstrations
- Support and facilitate market research into key market & pricing trends and evolving customer requirements.
- Work with Product Specialist Manager and Commercial Manager to identify and implement tactical and critical initiatives to drive end user preference for our products including NPI’s in the market with key support functions (e.g., regional marketing)
How will you get there? Key to Success: - Minimum Bachelors of Science within Life Sciences required.
- Must have a passion for laboratory consumables and equipment products and the associated markets
- 3-5 years’ experience in a sales or marketing position in industry, academia, or equivalent with exposure to laboratory consumables and equipment
- Proven excellence in sales
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and unit analysis, successful in forming inter-departmental relationships
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Proven ability to operate independently, with initiative, and good business judgment
- Strong interpersonal and time leadership skills
