The Life Sciences Electron Microscopy business provides innovative electron microscopy workflow solutions for high resolution biological imaging, ranging from atomic resolution imaging of protein complexes to volume acquisition of cellular compartment structures.
Remote location, based in USA

You will lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns using a customer-centric, go-to-market approach. You will work with a broad team from commercial, business development, product, global and operational marketing to develop a multi-channel global strategy for driving growth in the highly relevant, fast-growing cryo-Electron Microscopy market.

A Day in the Life

  • Develop strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing plans for cryo-EM workflows to increase customer acquisition, retention, and expansion by communicating clear value to target audiences.
  • Create and use customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends/opportunities, and staging/pacing of tactical programs for market adoption.
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment of marketing plans among Product Management, Regional Marketing and Sales Development Partners, and Commercial Leaders.
  • Guide the development of copy and creative content for applicable markets, appropriately positioning products for customer segments, while conveying strong value propositions.
  • Build relevant content across the marketing funnel; deploy and measure content through multiple digital channels that align with the customer journeys.
  • Develop sales force selling tools, technical training and customer facing materials in collaboration with product management and commercial teams.
  • Successfully engage with advertising agencies and Divisional Marketing to deliver high-quality assets, including, but not limited to, creative direction and content for print and digital collateral, PR, social media and customer-facing presentations.
  • Maintain campaign/program metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities; report on these metrics regularly and adjust tactics to improve performance.
  • Act as a business unit partner to the Divisional Marketing team - a true brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our business unit strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs.

Keys to Success

  • BS in a life sciences field (cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry) or equivalent with related 3-10 years work experience (preferably partially in industry)
  • Master’s, or PhD highly preferred


  • Customer-centric with minimum of 5 years’ experience marketing, sales, or sales support in technical / scientific products; Experience in microscopy a plus!
  • Experience working in a complex, highly matrixed organization; Strong record of building alignment in cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, demonstrates creativity and problem-solving ability with good intuition for business, proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing successful lead generation programs using multi-channel strategies with ability to plan, implement and measure and ability to learn from previous campaigns to improve future performance
  • Self-starter and fast learner to manage multiple projects' scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion
  • Travel is required (~25%); including international
