What the HR Service Center (HRSC) team contributes to Cardinal Health: The HRSC team is responsible for general employee inquiries, management & maintenance of employee data, and efficiency of US HR data transactions and processes. Uses knowledge of US HR processes and technologies to initiate and/or complete employee HR requests and inquiries Collaborates with HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) and HR Business Partners, to execute enterprise-wide programs and solutions Operates within service level agreements Cultivates a customer service culture while demonstrating empathy for the personal circumstances of employees Provides support to employees and other HR teammates through the launch of US HR company-wide programs and policies Consult with, and provide guidance to US-based employees about company policy and program inquiries Uses knowledge of global HR processes to support inquiries from all employees and managers (including support functions such as HR & Legal) Develops and maintains standard operating procedures/local work instructions for new and/or modified HR programs, technology, or policies impacting the employee experience Process owner and SME for Terminations and Time Off space on the Employee Data Management team. Specific focus on Severance/RIF processing support for other HR teammates and the business. This role reports to the HR Service Center Manager, HR Operations.
Accountabilities: Process owner and SME for Terminations and Time Off space on the Employee Data Management team. Specific focus on Severance/RIF processing support for other HR teammates and the business. This role reports to the HR Service Center Manager, HR Operations. Outside of supporting end-to-end Severance processing, roles and responsibilities include: Partnering with the Tier 2 Supervisor to effectively manage workload amongst Tier 2 teammates, for day-to-day terminations and time off work Collaborates with the Global Process Owner (GPO) team to successfully enable enhancements to customer service experience (through technology enhancements, automation of manual work and process improvements) Maintain updates to employee data, to Database for Severance processing Lead, engage and represent the HR Service Center on HR/companywide projects, programs, and initiatives for Time Off and Terminations/Severance Provides guidance, leadership, and continued education around all processes in scope, for employees and internal HRSC teammates Accountable for ensuring employee facing knowledge and local work instructions (LWIs) are easy to interpret and accurate per current state processes Supports onboarding and training for new teammates in the Terminations/Time off space Provides coaching and feedback, to Tier 2 Supervisor, on performance of team to ensure effective collaboration and success of the space
Qualifications: Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred 3+ years experience in related field, preferred Experience using Workday and case management tools, preferred Effective track record of demonstrating and executing strong leadership skills while leading projects and initiatives Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, keeping eyes all over various activities in scope Proven successful ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and effectively handle daily planned and unplanned operational activities Critical eye for detail and appreciation for data accuracy and integrity Uncompromising commitment to client and customer satisfaction Collaborative, team-player that has a strong track records of building strong partnerships across teams Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with both customers and team members
