Field Service Technician I - Southern California (4-Day Workweeks & Benefits First Day)

The Opportunity: Hach is seeking a full time Field Service Technician I to join our team in the Southern California area, supporting customers in and around Camarillo and Ventura. What Will I Be Doing? Working 40 hours per week (with 3-day weekends every week after completion of training, except in the case of approved overtime), youll provide installation, routine repair, calibration/verification, and preventative maintenance services for Hach equipment and instruments located on customer sites. In your company-provided vehicle, with all travel expenses paid for by us, you will be traveling 50-75% of the time, supporting customers throughout Southern California and located in a 3-hour driving radius, all directions, around Camarillo. On rare occasions throughout the year, customer needs may require travel outside of this defined region. You can plan to be back at home after most shifts; however, you can expect overnight stays at company-approved hotels 4 or 5 nights per month (on average) employee safety is one of our topmost priorities! What Qualifications Do I Need? Being mechanically and electrically inclined is a must we especially want to hear from you if you have previous experience with Preventative Maintenance and technical diagnostics/repair. Proven ability to self-manage and take initiative; you are resilient, resourceful, and an expert at managing a busy workload with competing priorities. You have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
What Will Make Me Stand Out? Previous field service experience is desirable we especially want to hear from you if youve worked in the water industry! Youve completed an Associates/Technical Degree. Youre a go-getter and lifelong learner who is motivated by satisfied customers and a job well done.
The Perks: No office to report to this is a fully remote, field-based position. After completion of your initial 90-day training period, your schedule will consist of 4 shifts per week at 10-hour days that means every weekend is a long-weekend unless in the case of overtime! The hourly rate for this role is $29.00 to $32.00 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. This range may be modified in the future.
