This posting is specific to our weekend shift. The hours for our weekend shift are Friday-Sunday from 5am-5:30pm. Our weekend shift is also eligible for an additional $2.50 in differential pay! The impact you’ll make As a PetSmart Distribution Maintenance Technician, you will be part of an energetic team environment with the opportunity to work in various positions in our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Evaluating and problem-solving building issues with the maintenance team
- Taking ownership of all equipment in the building, working quickly to respond to any calls or incidents to minimize down time
- Performing preventative maintenance checks on all equipment and repairing parts as needed
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot machine issues and have a working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, plumbing and overall facilities maintenance
- Providing maintenance support to all areas of the distribution center, prioritizing tasks and maintenance efficiently
- Putting heavy focus on safety and OSHA standards
What we are looking for - Passion for pets and people and the desire to grow a fulfilling career.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Apply basic instructions and procedures and responds to standard requests which may be written, oral, by headset or walkie talkie
- Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry and lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable alternating between standing, sitting and or walking for an entire shift which is typically 10-12 hours
- Willing and able to operate powered industrial and mechanical equipment including but not limited to reach truck, standups, dock stocker and pushcarts *proper training and safety standards are provided
- Work in various temperatures and noise levels
