Technical Operations Manager - BMS Hybrid 3 days onsite Base Location: Milpitas, CA Onsite 70% when not traveling. Local Candidates Preferred! CIO Primary Responsibility: Support the construction, operation, and maintenance of Control Systems across Data Center portfolio. - Develop deep understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Serve as the SME in Air Cooled and Water Cooled Chillers.
- Oversee consistency in BMS (Building Management System) programming.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Lead preventative maintenance strategy and manage service provider selection.
- Provide emergency response for BMS/Controls events.
- Coordinate turnover and training on monitoring and control systems.
- Train technicians and drive consistency in metering for PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) reporting.
Experience: - Minimum 5 years in Construction, Controls, and Monitoring.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and database housing software.
Communication: Must be adept at communicating with both technical and non-technical teams, comfortable in diverse settings. Stress Management: Ability to juggle multiple priorities and handle urgent, shifting timelines. Team Building: Strong focus on understanding and developing team members, with an emphasis on long-term success. Continuous Improvement: Driven to continually improve processes, with a balance of celebrating successes and learning from past projects.
