Accounts Payable Specialist (JN -092024-378388)
Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Job Responsibilities:- Verify invoices against packing slips and purchase orders, entering data into the ERP system. Analyze invoices for use tax considerations. (3-way matching)
- Prepare weekly payment vouchers and generate cash flow reports for managerial approval.
- Research and resolve vendor issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update the vendor database.
- Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate payment terms when necessary.
- Organize and manage accounts payable files, including purchase orders.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures, including generating G/L entries for monthly expenses.
- Provide administrative support to various departments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:- Associate's degree or equivalent education/training; or 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Manufacturing environment experience is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills, including ability to calculate discounts, interest, and proportions.
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software.
- Good communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
