The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Advanced Clinical Social Worker to join our team.

SCHEDULE: Full-time (40 hours), 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

The Role:
The Advanced Clinical Social Worker in this position will be a member of the agency’s Outpatient team, which provides individual, group and family treatment to individuals who often have complex clinical presentations and severe symptomology.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides clinical services, including individual, group and family treatment to adults who have behavioral health, substance abuse and trauma issues.
May provide clinical case management to a small caseload.
Provides trauma-informed services and care to clients.
Provides clinical oversight and collaboration with providers for client in liaison status and PSRB cases.
Assesses and manages risk and coordinates responsive care to clients who are in crisis.
Completes psychosocial assessments, risk assessments and person-centered recovery plans.
Participates in case conferences and critical incident reviews.
Documents treatment in the electronic health record in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Participates in organizational committees and trainings as directed.
Consults and works collaboratively with contract agencies, community providers and state and community hospitals around coordinating client care.
Provides clinical and administrative coverage for the team as assigned by the Program Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
One (1) year of experience as a licensed clinical social worker.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents in this class must possess and retain a license to practice clinical social work pursuant to Sec. 20-195 (m-z) of the Connecticut General Statutes.
