Today, The Black Scholars Index celebrates Dr. Philip Emeagwali. He has been called the "Bill Gates of Africa" and the "unsung hero of the internet" after using 65,000 processors to invent the world's fastest computer, which performs computations at 3.1 billion calculations per second.
