Today, The Black Scholars Index celebrates Dr. Geogiana Simpson, 1 of the first 3 African-American women to obtain PhDs in the United States. She was a polished woman who became close friends with Frederick Douglass' 2nd wife. Please read her story, it will feel like you've just met this awesome woman!
