Dear Friend,
When I look at Kendrick Meek, I can't help but think about my own journey to the U.S. Senate more than 20 years ago.
Both of us come from Miami and both of us were raised by dedicated public servants -- Kendrick's mom a Congresswoman and my dad a State Senator. We both started out in the Florida House and then served in the State Senate. But more than anything, it's our core values that are right in sync.
Like me, Kendrick believes in doing everything he can for the people of Florida. And let me tell you, we need someone out there fighting for Floridians, especially when Kendrick's opponents are all too busy fighting for the special interests.
You and I both know the grassroots will have to work hard to overcome all the influence of the special interests this year. Kendrick is less than one week and 535 donors away from an important fundraising deadline and needs your help to meet his goal. Can he count on you to help?

As a senator from Florida, Kendrick will continue the great work he's been doing as a congressman -- helping people find jobs, making sure everyone has affordable health care, protecting consumers from predatory lenders and keeping families in their homes.
Kendrick is all about finding real solutions to the real problems facing Americans today, not pleasing special interests. That's why he's relying on your support to carry him to victory in November. Please be one of the 1,000 grassroots donors he needs to contribute in the next six days and make sure Kendrick can keep fighting for Floridians and the entire nation.

I retired from the Senate five years ago, so I can no longer work to pass the legislation this country needs to make our lives better. But it sure makes me feel good to know that Kendrick Meek is here to carry on that work and fight for what's important.
Sincerely,
Bob Graham
