
Rust College added more versatility with the last addition to the 2010-11 Lady Bearcat’s volleyball Squad.
The Lady Bearcat’s volleyball program added Olivia C. McKinsey of Farmington, New Mexico on July 4, 2010 announced Head Volleyball Coach Brandon Reeves.
According to Reeves, McKinsey, a 5’8 outside hitter, should contribute immensely to the Lady Bearcats volleyball team immediately next season.
"McKinsey is a versatile player and we are extremely excited about having her. She is very athletic and we look forward to seeing big things from her in the future." Reeves said.
A recent graduate of Midland High School, McKinsey has several years of experience playing volleyball on the junior high, high school and national levels. Her accolades include Most Valuable Player during 8th and 9th Grade, Most Improved Player during 10th Grade, a participant of the Team Captain National Club 16 and 18s Teams and was the Women's Junior USAV Team III. McKinsey was also a member of the 2009 All District 1st Team OH 4A in New Mexico.
“I have passion for the game and look forward to starting a great season with my new team.” said McKinsey.
While at Rust, McKinsey will major in biology and plans to attend medical school. She is the daughter of Doris Gurule.
