MIAMI, FL - Kendrick Meek cast his vote in the Florida Democratic primary today at the Stephen P. Clark Government Center in Miami-Dade County. Early voting starts today in communities across the state. Floridians can go to

"This is a big day for our campaign. Floridians need leaders who aren't afraid to tackle big issues and fight for everyday Florida families. Beginning today, Floridians have the opportunity to vote for the only real Democrat in this race and the only candidate with a long record fighting for middle-class families. Please go to my website to find out where and when you can early vote," said Kendrick Meek, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate.
Kendrick was joined by his wife Leslie at the Clark Center. After they cast their vote, the two rallied a crowd of early voters at an event in Downtown Miami.
Early voting begins across the state today and ends in some counties on Saturday, August 21, 2010 and on Sunday, August 22, 2010 in others.
Also, today the campaign released a robo-call recording by former Florida Governor and Senator Bob Graham, encouraging Democrats to early vote for Kendrick beginning today.
"I know what it takes to get the job done for Florida, and I know Kendrick will get it done because he's a hard worker and knows what everyday Floridians are going through. That's why Kendrick fought against privatizing Social Security and for middle-class tax cuts. And, he's the only real Democrat in the race. All the other major candidates have run as Republicans. Please vote for my friend Kendrick Meek. Early voting starts August 9, 2010."
