9:45 a.m.
Bowman Gray Stadium
1250 South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive
Winston-Salem, North Carolina
(Rain site: LJVM Coliseum)
There are no guest limits or ticket requirements for the ceremony. The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m. and it is expected to last approximately three hours.
We anticipate there could be as many as 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students participating in the 2017 Commencement Ceremony, including those who completed their requirements in August and December 2017, as well as students who applied for May 2017 graduation. The ceremony will be streamed live.
Listen to a a special message to the graduating class of 2017 from Chancellor Elwood Robinson.
The Commencement Ceremony will be held at Bowman Gray Stadium with graduates and faculty seated on the field. Guests will be seated in the stands. As in previous years, we ask that students RSVP to help us determine the number of graduates to expect for Commencement. Eligible students who will not be participating in Commencement should also respond to the survey and indicate that they will not be attending.
