
Claflin University is celebrating the contributions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities during National HBCU Week in conjunction with Panther Fest.
The kickoff celebration was held at noon on Monday with a brief ceremony at Panther Plaza featuring music and presentations by Claflin students and administrators.
The week-long schedule of events includes:
Tuesday: Twin Tuesday - Pick a partner or group and dress alike.
6 p.m. Tuesday: Community Service Arthur Rose Museum
Wednesday: Red Carpet Wednesday
Noon Wednesday Fashion Show in the Plaza Panther Plaza
6 p.m. Wednesday: Power Hour in the Chapel James and Dorothy Z. Elmore Chapel
7:30 p.m. Wednesday: Lip Sync Battle W.V. Middleton Auditorium
Thursday: Global Day - Wear apparel that symbolizes where you are from
5 p.m. Thursday: Meltdown Panther Plaza
Friday: Claflin University Spirit Day - Wear your orange and maroon
6 p.m. Friday: Carnival Behind the Claflin Commons
All events are free and open to the public.
