Did you know that every 16 minutes someone dies from a suicide and every 43 seconds, someone attempts to kill themselves? In an effort to help reduce these chilling statistics, Alabama State University is hosting two events on Tuesday that are designed to offer a forum for suicide prevention and a tribute to those impacted by it. It offers you an important news media story, which directly impacts many of your news's consumers here in the River Region.
The events are sponsored by the ASU Counseling Center and The Council of Substance Abuse (COSA), and Rehabilitation Services who will be on hand at both events to grant interviews.-
The news media is invited to join us for one or both events - see above for details on each.
