Alcorn’s online master’s program in biology ranked third on OnlineU’s 2019 Most Affordable Online Colleges list


Lorman, Miss. (May 6, 2019) — Alcorn State University continues to be one of the leading universities in offering an affordable education.

OnlineU.org ranked Alcorn’s master’s program in biology at No. 3 on its 2019 Most Affordable Online Colleges list. Alcorn is the only Historically Black College or University (HBCU). It is also the only Mississippi institution to make the list.

Interim President, Dr. Donzell Lee, expressed pride in Alcorn’s continued national recognition for affordability.

“Alcorn prides itself on offering affordable tuition to those who desire to further their education, whether it be online or in the classroom,” said Lee. “The university appreciates this ranking, and we will keep striving to satisfy our top priority, out students.”

OnlineU is a free and comprehensive guide that enables students to compare all online colleges in the United States. The website seeks to help driven people accomplish their educational goals in a financially responsible manner.

The website hopes to empower more Americans to attend college while lowering the overall cost of earning a degree.
