Free Tuition at Columbus State Community College
The Columbus Promise is a collaborative pilot program created by the City of Columbus, Columbus City Schools, I Know I Can, and Columbus State Community College that aims to increase college enrollment, support student success, and strengthen the Columbus job market for a brighter future.
The Columbus Promise Scholarship covers tuition and fees at Columbus State Community College after applying the Pell Grant (if eligible) and any tuition-restricted scholarships. Scholars also receive $500 per semester for educational expenses, for up to six semesters.
Beyond financial support, Columbus Promise Scholars benefit from dedicated advising and resources designed to help them build the skills, habits, and behaviors needed to succeed in college and beyond.
