Thank you for your post. I am familiar with Dr. Painter and her work because of her brilliant iography of the abolitionist and fugitive slave Soujourner Truth.

She is a scholar of the highest order!!! Her new book looks extremely interesting.
I posted a review of her book last week and I expect to post more on her.
