Kendrick Meek Hails Confirmation of Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court
MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. Kendrick Meek, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, issued the following statement today after the Senate voted to confirm Solicitor General Elena Kagan as the next Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court:

A pioneer in her own right as the first female Dean of Harvard Law School and the nation's first female Solicitor General, Ms. Kagan brings a practical and level-headed perspective to the bench.
