For 50 years the NAACP IMAGE AWARDS has cultivated pride, integrity, and a commitment black excellence providing a platform that celebrates the contributions African Americans make in the arts. This year entertainment journalist and red carpet correspondent Tanisha LaVerne Grant caught up with the some of this year's 50th NAACP IMAGE AWARDS NOMINEES including legendary actress actress Sheryl Lee Ralph and they were pretty vocal about the importance of advocating to keep Cheyney University of Pennsylvania open the nation's oldest Historical Black University founded in 1837.
