Run the World world will makes its television premiere on May 16th on Starz and at the helm of this brand new series is Spelman alumna Leigh Davenport who is emerging as one of the most powerful women in Hollywood.
According to Varietyt the former editorial director of Hellobeautiful.com created the upcoming Starz series “Run the World,” set in Harlem with a “s*x and the City” vibe: It centers on four Black women navigating their personal and professional lives and is due this month. She also wrote Lifetime’s recent movie about Wendy Williams and spent a year as staff writer on “Boomerang.” Coming next: “The Perfect Find,” starring Gabrielle Union and Niecy Nash; it will stream on Netflix later this year.
