Media correspondent and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania alum Tanisha LaVerne Grant was on the red carpet for Broadways night to shine, the 68th annual Tony Awards hosted by Hugh Jackman handed out honors Sunday night at New York's Radio City Music Hall in a ceremony which aired on CBS. Tanisha got a chance to chat with some of the biggest stars in theater, film, fashion, and television including Audra Mcdonald who made history winning her 6th Tony, more than any other performer for her role as Billie Holiday in "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. Kenny Leon also took home a Tony for Best Director for "A Raisin in the Sun " along with British-Nigerian actress Sophie Okonedo who won her first Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her role in "A Raisin in the Sun". Dule Hill, Patti LaBelle, Tyne Daly, Mary Davies, Norm Lewis, Gladys Knight, Fantasia, Andy Karl, Adrienne Lenox, Neil Patrick Harris are just a few who shared their Tony excitement.
