Meher Tatna announced that Isan Elba, daughter of Golden Globe Award winner Idris Elba and makeup artist and businesswoman Kim Elba, has been selected as 2019 Golden Globe Ambassador. Every year our Ambassadors, who each year assist in distributing the Globes at the Award Ceremony and highlight the HFPA's philanthropic activities throughout the year, are celebrated with a Hollywood reception. In light of the recent tragedies which have hit California, the event was cancelled this year. Instead the HFPA announced donations to the victims of the fires and the Thousand Oaks shooting. Including to the Ventura County Community Foundation, the California Fire Foundation Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency (SAVE) program, the California Fire Foundation and the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund which helps provide long-term recovery efforts to those impacted by the fires.
