This position will be housed within the Enterprise Research and Technology organization and can be based at our Process Development Center in Baton Rouge, LA; at our plant in Magnolia, AR, at our offices in Clear Lake, TX or at our corporate offices in Charlotte, NC. </p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Become the recognized process technology expert / guardian for Chlor-Alkali process globally.</p></li><li><p>Remain aware of external technology developments relevant to Chlor-Alkali process.</p></li><li><p>Continuously be on the lookout for material improvement opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Coach and develop other technical personnel involved in designing, building, operating or improving the assigned process globally.</p></li><li><p>Become a structural member of the team assigned to any major capital expansion or revamp of the assigned <span>process. </span></p></li><li><p>In the event of significant capital projects, lead technology selection efforts to assure that the most appropriate design basis is specified and that the most appropriate technology is chosen. Collaborate closely with design and commissioning / startup leads assuring.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Required Education and Experience:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>B.S degree or higher in Chemical Engineering with 15&#43; years of experience.</p></li><li><p>Proven track record of success in Chlor-Alkali process design; process development; process optimization; and manufacturing operations.</p></li><li><p>Strong grasp of chemical engineering fundamentals and ability to bring a fundamental approach to process design.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently with limited technical oversight.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Preferred <span>Experience:</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Experience in processing and handling of bromine, chlorine, fluorine, etc.</p></li><li><p>Large projects execution experience.</p></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><span>#LI-CJ1</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>Benefits of Joining Albemarle</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Competitive compensation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Comprehensive benefits package</span></p></li><li><p><span>A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
