Detailed Description

• Lead the design, development and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains. Participate in project planning and scheduling.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of engineers. Must be a recognized expert (go to person) in one or more technical areas
• Review, interpret and negotiate customer requirements/specifications and provide customer feedback
• Lead the deployment of strategic programs and coordinate site-wide deployment efforts.
• Proactively promote industry best practices
• May manage relationships with key vendors/partners.
• Design, modify and implement systems that meet customer and Celestica needs. E.g. creation of Schematics, Bills of material, diagrams, drawings, etc.
• Testing, simulation and measuring (including troubleshooting) the performance of systems
• Keep up to date with relevant industry knowledge and regulations
• Solve complex problems
• Liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and other internal teams.
• Analyze and interpret data and information
• Recommend modifications for systems
• Create reports and documentation

• Project Management - Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions. Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, financial and people aspects of the project. Able to create a project/change management plan and ensure that the project is delivered within the assigned time and budget. Ability to recognize project barriers and develop mitigation plan
• Leadership & Mentoring- Demonstrate "People & Team Leadership Behaviors" as per Celestica Leadership Imperatives. Must effectively mentor more junior engineers.
• Financial Acumen / Business Planning- Ability to create financial plans for your projects, align them internally with your line of management and other functions and externally if needed. Create project plans, profitability calculations, risk and sensitivity analysis, able to recognize barriers and mitigate profitability risks.
• Customer Management This is a customer facing role with high interaction expected with major customers. The ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to customer leadership and engineers is paramount.

Salary Expectation and Benefits Summary

The salary range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including by not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate. Salary Range: $123,500-165,000 Annually
