Description



Facilities Technician at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital - Full-Time, Variable Schedule.

Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year a combined posting for a Security Office and Senior Security Officer. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Consideration for each role will be based on qualifications.



The Facilities Technician supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment, performing tasks where no state-issued electrical license is required. They must possess a working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform their assigned duties, while also continuously developing knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work.

Required Qualifications:




  • Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.


  • 4 years of experience working with building systems and equipment, preferably in a healthcare setting, e.g. HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, nurse call systems, electrical systems and cabling, fire sprinklers and alarms, security systems, refrigeration equipment; or exhibits a working knowledge comparable to this experience.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Associate's Degree in Facilities Maintenance Technology or 4 years work experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.


  • EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification upon hire.


  • ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification upon hire.


  • OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification upon hire.


  • Oregon Boiler License Class 2 or higher upon hire.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
