S&amp;C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our assembly function. As an assembler, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.</p><p>In this job you will assemble Mark V, TR-II, ScadaMate, or Vista Switches. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous production activity, must meet requirements within time constraints and you will be held accountable for the quality of your work. Tasks require a mechanical assembly aptitude, an above average degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools, working while standing on the floor and occasionally on a ladder or manlift.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Assembling Mark V circuit-switchers at one of several stations, ranging in size from 6’ x 10’ x 10’ to 15’ x 15’ x 15’.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Assembling TR-II switches, ranging in size up to 5’ x 1’ x 1’ to 11’x 1’ x 1’.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 100 lbs. with assistance). Some judgment is required to assemble and make simple adjustments.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure, and electrical inspection using a test console.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">High school diploma or GED required</li></ul><p><strong>What you’ll Need To Succeed:</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Proficient in reading blueprints</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Testing knowledge of electrical switching e.g. relays, contactors and circuit&nbsp;breakers.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Demonstrate the skills to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ability to use shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical assembly operations preferred.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Manufacturing assembly experience.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Soldering experience preferred.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Physical demands:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.</li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;">Other: Respirator certification required.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>S&amp;C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
