Qualifications

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS: Incumbent is required to sit for long Periods of time and to drive long distances. Muscular effort and coordination are required in operating the various types of vehicles and trucks. Will be required to do heavy lifting and pushing while loading and unloading carts, supplies and passengers. Under certain conditions, the physical exertion of making emergency road repairs is required. Operator is required to work outside and is frequently exposed to bad weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicles. Works in slippery loading areas and walkways and is subject to cuts, bruises, and injury as a result of accidents while driving, loading and unloading vehicles. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element (WG-2 and higher only; screen-outs are not applicable to WG-1). The potential eligibles are rated against the remainder of the job elements. While a specific length of training and experience is not required, your responses to the questionnaire must be supported by detailed descriptions of your experience on your resume. Commercial Driver's License (SCREEN OUT): A current and valid state-issued higher Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for this position. NOTE: We cannot accept photographs, therefore; please do not submit a copy of your CDL driver's license with your application package. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
