Miami Gardens, Fla. - U.S Senate candidate Kendrick Meek released the following statement regarding today's Senate vote on financial reform:
"Floridians are fed up with Republican leaders in the Senate and their obstructionist tactics. Wall Street reform presents a clear choice: do you side with hardworking Floridians or Big Banks? For the third day in a row, Senate Republicans have chosen to protect the Big Banks and lobbyists by blocking debate on holding Wall Street accountable. It's time to put consumers back in the driver's seat. I will continue fighting to protect Florida families and call on Republican leaders to do the same."
