MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. - On the day lifelong Republican Charlie Crist performs the final act in his month-long political stunt, Kendrick Meek will still face two conservative Republicans in the U.S. Senate race in Florida.
"Governor Charlie Crist wants to cover-up his lifelong Republican past, but he and Speaker Marco Rubio remain Kendrick Meek's two conservative Republican opponents in this election. Kendrick is fighting to bring new jobs to our state, and rebuild what Governor Crist and Speaker Rubio helped tear down as Republican architects of Florida's economic downfall," said campaign spokesman Adam Sharon. "Republican Governor Charlie Crist wants to escape his conservative record, but the record won't escape him."
