Crist said he was surprised and disappointed, despite having stood by his fellow Republican until the bitter end.

And what about the horrendous oil spill in the Gulf? Before it happened, Crist supported offshore drilling. Now he's softening his stance -- but only after the true extent of the disaster has come to light.
Florida deserves better. We deserve a strong, progressive leader like Kendrick Meek, who stands up for what he believes in, no matter what, and doesn't make decisions based on political gain.
