This week we talk about the importance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) in America. There are officially 105 HBCUs in America and US Territories. Every one has had some significant impact in the molding of America as it is today. In this discussion we discuss the importance of the HBCUs today and balk at the theory that HBCUs do not do as good a job as Traditionally White Institutions (TWIs) among other things.
Also, we touch a bit on the BP oil leak disaster and what HBCUs can possibly do to help.
You said this, “HBCUs do not do as good a job as Traditionally White Institutions (TWIs) among other things.”
Why do you suppose it is that way? Do you think that if Black Americans had complete independence from White America, Black America could do just as good a job on Black Americans as White America does on White Americans presently?
I understand that your post is in support of HBCUs. But, could you answer the same question that I asked Culpepper? Why it is that HBCUs does not do as good a job as White colleges and universities. Is HBCUs somehow handicapped? If so, what would be your solution?
I would agree with you that not “Every Harvard grad does not cut a rememorable swarth in the world,” as you characterize it.
However, Mr. Culpepper said that in general HBCUs does not do as good as White colleges and universities.
Firstly, you seem to agree in kind with Mr. Culpepper’s thinking since you said this, “More funding and better understanding.” So, do you believe that HBCUs would do better if they had more funding, but still not do as good as White colleges and universities would?
Please get yourself together and answer the question I asked. Why it is that HBCUs do not do as good as White colleges and universities. So far, you mentioned a lack of funding is the cause that HBCUs do not do as good as White colleges and universities.
I would suspect that we do not do as good as we could in anything since we are not a sovereign people on the portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to explore the universe without being influenced or controlled by White America. What do you think?
I feel that IF it seems that HBCUs are underperforming as compared to TWIs, a part could be because of funding. I can recall as a freshman in college, none of our dorms had A/C and our computer lab consisted of a small room no bigger than 2 living rooms. You take that into account that it seems a good number of the schools were/are considered in the "undesirable places to live" part of the cities which they are in and that you have a majority of educators who would jump to choose to teach at TWIs rather than an HBCU given the circumstances - thus leaving HBCUs to not have the pick of the litter when it comes to the educators.
I can only speculate all of this because I do not know why it is the way it is. This is only my theory - a theory that can be proven right, wrong, or a bit of both.

Hello to All,
For some time now, all of you know that I have been saying that Black Americans only permanent solution is our sovereignty. You all are afraid to consider sovereignty because you think it is impossible to happen, am I right.
But, based on the sorry stories that you all consistently gives individually sums up collectively that I am right that there is no other way out of our dilemma. Our only permanent solution is that we desire to become a sovereign people or have complete independence from White America on a portion of this continent that we could call our very own country to pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.
For instance, Culpepper and Fleming say that if more monies were given to HBCUs perhaps Black Americans would be in better shape. Siebra is thankful for the information. What benefit it would bring to her is a mystery to me.
Anyhow, the time is going to come that you all are going to take me more seriously. We have been going around in circles approximately 500 years and are going to come to a stop.
Am I right that if what you all have in mind is speculation and hope for our future generation which is the same thing the generation before us had for us then you all have nothing, am I right.
Everything that I say is going to happen. Now tell me if there is a better option than my concept of sovereignty that God is offering to us?
All HBCUs from their inception have done badly in comparison to White colleges and universities and will always fall short until we become a sovereign people.
