Media correspondent and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania alum Tanisha LaVerne Grant was on the red carpet last night for one of New York City's most anticipated events ... the inaugural of the American Black Film Festival also known as ABFF. What a night to remember with "Think Like A Man Too" as it opening night film the American Black Film Festival could not have had a better welcome to the city. Legions of fans and supporters stood outside the SVA Theater in Manhattan to catch a glimpse of all the stars and starlets who came out to support the American Black Film Festival which was founded by Jeff Friday in 1997. Since the inception in 1997 ABFF has moved from Acapulco to Miami and now New York City. This film festival has proven to be a viable dependable vehicle for any African American film maker, actor, writer, producer, with alums like Jerry Lamothe, Ava DuVernay, and "Think Like A Man Too" producer Will Packer.
