On September 17, 2015, Allen University, located in Columbia S.C. will honor the theme “Allen University: Gratitude, Courage, and Transformation”.
We will officially welcome new and returning students to the 146th Academic year during fall convocation. The ceremony will be held in the John Hurst Gynatorium, at 10:00 am on the campus of Allen University at 1517 Harden Street Columbia, S.C. 29204. This year, Allen welcomes approximately 630 students through its gates. The university is pleased to welcome a very diverse incoming and returning student body.
The keynote speaker for the 146th Fall Convocation will be Mr. Michael Adams. Mr. Michael Adams is the Assistant Vice President of Service Operations for Colonial Life in Columbia, SC. Colonial Life is a leading voluntary benefits provider for over 3 million working Americans and 80,000 employers. Mr. Adams’ illustrious 20-year career has afforded him the opportunity to stand out as a leader in various positions in the industrial and manufacturing sectors with an emphasis in operations management, human capital management, engineering and customer service. Mr. Adams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University, a MBA from the New York Institute of Technology, and he is currently pursuing a Masters in Human Resource Development from Clemson.
Allen University welcomes students, faculty, staff, alumni and all community constituents to attend. This event is FREE and open to the public.
