Sir Lucian Grainge’s 2020 Artist Showcase gave music and entertainment industry leaders highly coveted seats to intimate performances by some of UMG’s hottest established and breaking talent. Presented by Citi and Lenovo, this year’s showcase featured exciting performances by NastyC, Tiwa Savage, Lewis Capaldi, Karol G, Anthony Ramos, Gregory Porter, Maggie Rogers, DaBaby and Billie Eilish.
In addition to the performances, UMG gave sneak previews of upcoming film and television projects -- two documentaries, “Let It Be” (Peter Jackson)and “Beastie Boys Story” (Spike Jonze), as well as the NBC network television series, “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” (Polygram Entertainment and Lionsgate Television). “Beastie Boys Story” will open exclusively in select IMAX® theatres for a limited engagement on April 3, before premiering globally on Apple TV+ on April 24, and “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist” premieres on February 7, 2020, on NBC.
Notable attendees included Lana Del Rey, Mandy Moore, Spike Jonze, Howie Mandel, Jessie Reyez, Adam Horovitz, Lang Lang, Lele Pons, Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, Cash Money’s Ronald “Slim” Williams and Brian “Birdman” Williams, and more.
