TSU Student Leader Headed to Congress
Damien Thaddeus, a junior Political Science major, has been selected to participate in the fall 2013 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Emerging Leaders Internship Program (CBCF). The CBCF Emerging Leaders Internship is a rigorous program that includes a minimum 30-hour work week, educational seminars, individual and team projects, and several social and networking events.
"I am ecstatic to have been selected for this prestigious internship and I plan to represent TSU well,” Thaddeus pointed out. “What I hope to learn from my internship is how to research and write effective policy, how to debate it and skills on how to lobby legislation. I also plan to fully capitalize and improve on my networking skills and opportunities.”
The internship program will be from August 25th to December 14th in Washington D.C.
