Oakwood University to Celebrate Black History Month -- Moving Foward
Oakwood University kicks off Black History Month tomorrow during Chapel service at 9:50 a.m. at the University Church. The program entitled "Walk With Me" is a musical narrative commemorating the 50th anniversary of the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, in Birmingham, Alabama.
The performers for the event will be:
- Ms. Eleanor McClellan, narrator
- Dr. Diffany Bostic-Brown, soprano
- Mr. Kevin Thomas, tenor
- Dr. Terrance Brown, baritone
- Ms. Karen Cantrell, pianist
