Oakwood University to Celebrate Blac k History Month -- Moving Foward
Oakwood University kicks off Black History Month tomorrow during Chapel service at 9:50 a.m. at the University Church. The program entitled "Walk With Me" is a musical narrative commemorating the 50th anniversary of the bombing of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church, in Birmingham, Alabama.
The performers for the event will be:
Ms. Eleanor McClellan, narrator
Dr. Diffany Bostic-Brown, soprano
Mr. Kevin Thomas, tenor
Dr. Terrance Brown, baritone
Ms. Karen Cantrell, pianist
