Oakwood President Awarded Medallion at Alabama A&M
Prior to speaking to the 142nd graduating class of Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University on December 8 at the Von Braun Center, Dr. Leslie Pollard, President of Oakwood University, was awarded the Presidential Medallion of Alabama A&M University, for "Influential and Innovative Leadership."
Dr. Andrew Hugine, President of Alabama A&M, presented the award on behalf of the Board of Trustees of Alabama A&M University.
"I am grateful to the entire team of leaders we have at Oakwood University. Each of us are beneficiaries of the generosity and self-sacrifice of an often-unseen cadre of committed workers. I thank them for their service and receive this on their behalf," observed Dr. Pollard. "God gets the glory and all the honor."
Also participating in the graduation ceremony was Dr. David Richardson, Vice-President Spiritual Life & Missions, who offered a powerful meditation for the Alabama A&M graduates.
